ZipLine

I am very excited because today I challenged myself. I was fearing going ziplining. I thought it looked like a roller coaster and I hate roller coasters. But I went on 8 Zip-lines, and they were higher and higher and longer every time. And, even after doing the first zipline, I knew that I was going to enjoy it, because even though my heart was racing, the feel of a zipline is relaxing and scary, like a roller coaster. Besides Eric and Mimi, we had two really great helpers who always made sure that we were safe. I was amazed at how much attention Canadians put on safety, and how much the helpers talked to us. So, I would really like to thank ourhelpers who kept us safe.

After ziplining we went on a temperate rainforest tour. It was so beautiful and our guides were so warm and helpful. They talked with us a lot and asked us lots of questions about our lives. We were surprised that for ten people, we got 3 guides. So, with Mimi and Eric and our three guides, we had five native English speakers and eight non-native speakers, so it was easy to speak English a lot. While we were hiking, we came upon a sea of daisies. Of course, we had to get a picture of Daisy in a sea of daisies, but they were so beautiful, so we all had to take pictures of each other sitting in the beautiful valley of daisies on the seaside. It was so beautiful. I like the scenery in Canada. It changes very quickly from a dense forest, to valleys, to the sea shore. It is all so clean and natural. They don’t build stairs or walkways. Instead, we walk on dirt and rock paths, so it is so easy to see, smell, and feel the real natural environment. I love it!

This evening Jon (Eric’s son) and his son Skye came over for a visit. He took out the stand-up boards and started to teach us how to stand-up board. He is very cute and funny. I like meeting him. I wish he would have stayed longer.
