BC Museum

After playing on the water, we went to the BC museum. There I saw many types of historical things, like the geological history of Canada’s west coast, the first people of Canada, and how the first settlers lived. 

I also saw extinct animals born in ancient times, like the woolly mammoth. I loved listening to the First Nations voices and learning how they came across the Bering Sea from Asia the most. I did not know that the first Canadians were of Asian descent and that Europeans came a lot later.

They were very relaxed and happy, and because we had to stand in line to order food, more than willing to talk to us while we waited. I was so impressed by how much people were talking to each other. I loved it. It felt so warm. I was so happy to see and feel this atmosphere. When I get home, I’m going to ask my mom to not use her cell phone when we eat out. 

I want to see what difference it makes to our relationship. I love my mom. She gives me everything I want. She wants me to really experience life. She is very busy, so we don’t get a lot of time together, so when we do, I want it to be just like it was in this restaurant. I want us to forget about our cell phones and the outside world and just be the two of us! I want to try this!
