Eating & Shopping in Tofino

Because we were getting hungry and it was still raining, we decided not to go back to the campsite for lunch. Tofino has some nice little restaurants and local fast food places, not like McDonalds, but fish and chip places. We got to go to break into teams of two and find our own place where we would like to eat lunch, and when we were done, we could walk around and look in the shops.

Well the best thing happened, while we eating the rain stopped and the sun came out!!! It stayed out all day!!! Although Tofino was nice under fog and rain, it was gorgeous under the sun! So, after looking around the shops, we went back to our campsite and down to the beach. Eric and Mimi had bought a ball, so we could play games on the beach. And play we did. We had a great time playing volleyball with lines drawn in the sand. We played keep away. We made up new games. We had such great beach fun! After our fun our beach, we lit our campfire and had dinner, we settled in for a night of fun, but I should add some things about what had happened the night before. The night before, two of the air-mattresses broke, so Eric and Mimi had bought new ones to replace them. And the night before, some people were quite cold, so Mimi said that maybe we should all move into one tent, because our body heat would help keep the tent warm. It really helped. What great fun! The best slumber party EVER!
