Black Bear Watching Tour

What a start we had to our day today. I could never have imagined going somewhere without brushing my teeth and washing my face, but that is what happened today. In fact, I just jumped out of bed and into a car and went to see the Black Bears. Do you know why? Because, we had the wrong time and we were late. Mimi had read the end time and not the start time. Luckily, she got up early and re-read the information!!! So, we were very lucky to see the black bears and watch them look for food on the shores.

It was great to see Black bears in the wild. I have never seen anything like this before, so I was very impressed. It was also great to meet Max and Adam our two young tour guides. They were about our age and very friendly and talkative. We enjoyed our time with them as well.

After our Black Bear Watching Tour, we were going to go on a hike in the Pacific Rim National Rainforest, but it was still rainy, so Mimi suggested that we go to Long Beach and look out across the Pacific at Asia. Of course, we couldn’t see Asia because it is not just too far away, but it was also foggy.

When I arrived the long beach, it gave me a fantastic emotion because it was very long and likea kind of wonderland. The beach wasn’t just long it was wide. It was the biggest beach I have ever seen. The weather was raining and cool but the water was warm. I loved Long Beach. We had such fun playing on it, writing messages in the sand, and playing at the water’s edge. I will never forget its natural beauty.
